To mark the Newcastle Theatre Royal’s 175th birthday and as a way of saying thank you to the people of the North East a special free event is set to light up the night sky over Grey Street tomorrow and Sunday (18th/19th Feb).
Timed between 6pm until 10pm visitors can arrive and leave as and when they want.
Taking fire as its theme and hosted by Harlequin the “Master of Mischief “as the master of ceremonies a show of theatrical delights and pyrotechnics is in store telling the story of the Theatre and some of the world famous shows that have played there.
Planned and organised by the people who created the the mechanical spider and put Beatle Ringo Starr back ‘up on the roof’ for Liverpool Capital of Culture.
This is going to be a fun night out for all the family.
It promises to be street theatre of delights, fantasy and dazzle with music and dance.
In a winter evening magic and spectacle will warm your heart .
If it’s a birthday there must be a cake and that’s on offer too with free birthday cake for all.
