I’ve always said , and it surely cannot be denied that the North East of England is rich in talent.
We’ve produced artists across the entertainment field for years from The Animals, John Miles, and Mark Knopfler through to Jimmy Nail, Tim Healy,Denice Welsh and Ant and Dec…..and these are only a few.
The last TV series of Britains Got Talent offered compulsive TV viewing with a cornucopia of acts from the sublime, to the incredible to the ridiculous.
It no doubt amazes you and me and naturally the judges as to how many of the thousands who audition have the gall to offer their ‘talent’ to the unsuspecting world.
I wonder with some if they have few friends.
If I was a friend I’d be honest enough to tell them about their lack of talent to save them embarrassment albeit they say if you believe in yourself then you can do most things…perhaps Britain’s Got Talent helps ruin that theory.
Thankfully however out of the no hopers, wannabees, and waste of timers there does emerge a plethora of real sensational talent which does help you but faith back in the genuine contestants. The others of course give us the laughs without being comedians.
The latest winners of the Britains Got Talent series were an incredible althletic gymnastic team whose routine included flying over the heads of the judges and forming human skipping ropes.
They were aptly named Spellbound.
Spellbound now headline the Britains Got Talent 2010 Tour which appears at the Metro Radio Arena Newcastle on Monday June 28th.
The show will be compered by Paddy McGuinness who played along side Peter Kay in the ‘Paddys Road To Nowhere’ and ‘Phoenix Night’ series.
