There’s an absolutely ‘cracking’ Album of the Week’ on today’s show as I play three tracks from the new Randy Travis album which celebrates his 25th Anniversary.
Our ‘Remember This’ track suggested by a couple from Penrith in Cumbria takes us back to an artist who provided us with some of the best middle of the road music albums featuring folk and country.
There’s the regular look at the Top Thirty best selling singles in the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and I’ll be playing the top three aswell as taking a look at the ups and downs of the chart.
As usual The American Connection Who’s Where and When will give you an update relating to visits by country artists and our ‘Coulda Been Country ‘track features an Irish family chart topping group not associated with country music.
All that and tracks from Joni Harms, England Dan and John Ford Coley, Vince Gill, Shawna Russell, Frankie Ballard, Blake Shelton, Collin Raye, K T Oslin and a host of others and it’s going to take my breath away to try and fit them all in.
Here’s hoping you can join me for the best of country music from Nashville Tennessee.
Cheers

Hi Brian
Where has last weeks show gone, fallen into the Tyne?
Great to hear Shawna Russell played.
Joni Harms solid as country gets.
Liked your Keith Urban pick!
John Ford Coley – Sounded so much like early Crosby, Stills & Nash.
Wine, Women & Song – Did you hear them live on Radio 2 2DAY from Maida Vale
Matraca Berg CD Review, my thoughts – http://countrymusicnewsinternational.blogspot.com/2011/06/matraca-berg-dreaming-fields-cd-review.html
Sierra Hull – Bob “OBE” Harris has become a fan! Her album gets official release 4 July.
Vince Gill You mentioned – He will be the only country star to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012
Recommending: Julie Roberts new album “Alive” is fab! Its an Inde release. Maybe you can ask for it to be sent.
