There’s a few new names on today’s show as I’ll be introducing you to artists who perhaps haven’t heard of before.
I’ll be taking a look at the chart movers in the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and playing the top three best selling singles today.
Our Album Of The Week is a classic from one of the best vocalists in the business,,,that’s Merle Haggard, add his voice to some great bluegrass musicians and you’ll realise why this release is a tad special.
We’ll be celebrating some country artists birthdays and I;ll be letting you know which American acts are where and when and July looks like being a healthy month for visitors to our shores.
All that and tracks from Lady Antebellum, The Flying Burritos, Heather McCready, Roy Orbison, Anne Murray, Little Big Town and many more.
It’ll be great if we can spend some time together.
Cheers
Brian C

Hi Brian
A “Pirlo” of a show!
Yes it took A.Cole to miss a penalty to thankfully put an end to England’s progress.
The highlight of 2012 was the Sunderland fans taunting Man.Utd fans when Man.City scored the winner in extra time. A must see YouTube watch!
Heather McCready – Great to hear, thanks again for the introduction C/O the splendiferious South Shields Sage Girl. Spreading the word thought I’d aim high. BBC Radio 2 played Heather’s “Clarity” today. I’d be grateful if you can help give feedback via contact link and spread the word to gain more richly deserved plays on National Radio for her. It all started on here! I have sent her a message today saying Cloughie played you first!
