Our Album Of The Week on today’s show comes from a stalwart of the country music scene who bounced into our lives with a song titled ‘Here In The Real World’…that’s Alan Jackson.
There’s a few dedications and requests and one takes us back to a song that was used in a British TV advert.
We’ll also be celebrating a few country artists birthdays and our Take You Back Track Number One takes us back to 1988.
Made in Britain features a brand new release from a British artist who has more experience in the world of country music than many… that’s Stu Page and the Stu Page Band.
There’s the usual look at who’s where and when and there’s songs from Kenny Chesney, Ray Stevens, Restless Heart, Faith Hill, The Harters, Jana Kramer, The Bellamy Brothers and a whole host more.
AND
If you’re a Merle Haggard fan you’ll be pleased to know that he’s been back into the studio to record a bluegrass album and there’s a preview from it prior to it being Album Of The Week on next week’s show.
It’s going to be busy, here’s hoping you can take time out to join me.
Cheers

Hi Brian
Pleased HUMPHEAD sent you Alan Jackson’s album. #1 last week selling 72,848 copies. It’s solid country but some tracks sound familiar (a little too much)to what he has done before.
Harters – So pleased the requests came in from your discerning listeners. That single was fab and up to the Lady Antebellum standard. I hope they don’t disappear. I wonder why no other UK DJ’s want to play tracks like this instead of the same old names and tracks along with easy listening Irish acts.
Jana Kramer – Really like “Why Ya Wanna” and also her song on Footloose soundtrack. She looks stunning too! Haven’t heard the rest of her self titled album yet.
Laura Bell Bundy – Surprised you haven’t heard of her? She’s appeared at Award shows sometimes hosting. “Giddy On Up” could of been a UK line dance smash. Her video “Drop on By” is fantastic and once you’ve seen it you’ll need a cooling down and will be left open-mouthed. Gorgeous lady and fun artist!
Faith Hill – Not sure about the Breathe remix?
Deborah Berg – good song! Where on earth did she come from? Were you sent a promo single. I’ve found several new artists this week. It makes you think your just scratching the surface in a lifetime of the music that’s out there. On her website she looks about 25 whereas in her Facebook photo’s she looks 55. Images can deceive with Photoshop treatments.
Kenny Chesney – Brilliant , lead off track. The video is HOT HOT HOT! Took me 30 mins detective work to establish the love interest actress/model!!!
Yes still I still sing along to your Happy Birthday jingle. The men in white suits are lurking though. Will you make Michelle Wright a birthday girl next week (1 July Canada Day)
Thanks for being there Cloughie, soz I mean Mr Clough Sir!
