There’s a fair mix of both brand new and old on todays show.
James Otto takes up our Album Of The Week and I’ll be featuring three tracks from his album entitled ‘Shake What God Gave Ya’.
I’ll also be taking a look at a few artists who celebrate their birthday this week and playing a track from one of them, and in our Made In Britain slot I’ll be playing a track from Brighton based band The Diablos.
New artists on show include Red Molly, The Leverton Brothers, and David Wood with a quirky thought provoking song called ‘The Dash’.
There’s the usual look at the ups and downs of the Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts, and I’ll also be playing the top three best selling singles on todays chart.
Other artists featured include Dr Hook, Marlee Scott, Glen Templeton, Glen Campbell, Patsy Cline, Shania Twain, Suzy Bogguss, Dave Edmunds, Tim McGraw, The Zac Brown Band and a whole host more.
Join me if you can… it’ll be good to know you’re there.
Cheers

Hey Andy
…Not double D’s but octagonal D’s in your opening line….what happened to delightful!! As for the newbies…next weeks show has a cornucopia of country cousins continuing cleverly to convince country comrades of their new kids on the block credibility.
It’ll be good to know you’re there.
Hi Brian
Good to have the dependable, delectable, durable,Durham, DJ, dishing up the diet of country tunes including Diablos! After many positive comments from Don Williams fans it’s a shame the show has vanished and that there wasn’t a Don encore this week?
Will Banister may have turned his wife onto country music but “Alabama Nomad Rider” ex-wife turned him onto Don Williams. They have their uses.
James Otto – More miss than hit with that one.
Red Molly – Were better than most of the Billboard singles you played.
Lydia Loveless – Was a welcome slice of Americana, more please!
Lady Antebellum – All three are married now to separate partners! “Dancing Away With My Heart” sits so nicely on the ear. It’s easy to see why they have appeal across the genres. Destined for #1.
Marlee Scott – I’ve been a fan for 2 years, love her new single and the last 2. One was #1 on Hotdisc last year.
Diablos – Nice Made In Britain feature was that for St.George’s Day too? Thanks for the Brighton Country Rock. Catchy tune. “So come on down to the Continental / Get your beer real cold and your music hot / Yes Country music and a Texas twist, a 2-step rhythm that you can’t resist and the Band won’t quit till the last one’s fit to drop”
