There’s a smattering of Christmas ‘country fayre’ on this weeks show with a few Christmas flavoured songs to whet your appetite for next weeks Christmas Eve Country Special.
Our Album Of The Week features a new release from David Nail and our ‘Remember This ‘ track is a special song for listeners who celebrate their thirtieth Wedding Anniversary.
There’s the usual look at the Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts and I’ll be playing the top three best selling singles in the States.
Made In Britain features the Hayley Oliver Band and our ‘Coulda Been Country’ track takes us back to 1978 and a number six British Chart Entry…and it’s a song that everyone sings along to.
There’s a reminder as to how you can win 5 albums and five singles in a free draw that takes place in the New Year by becoming a member of the American Connection Facebook page and there’s a few dedications and requests.
On a very sad note I shall be paying my own small tribute to Billie Jo Spears a great country artist and personal friend who sadly passed away during the course of the week.
There’s also music from Dolly Parton, Highway 101, Brooks and Dunn, Juice Newton, Eric Church, Carters Chord, Shawna Russell, Edens Edge, Sara Evans and a whole host more.
It’ll be great to have the pleasure of your company…you’ll probably need a relaxing break with some good music after all that Christmas shopping.
Cheers

Hi Brian
Thanks so much for playing Shawna Russell fabulous track “Party”. It was great of you to make the lovely Hayley Oliver your Made In Britain featured artist The 2 awards you mention were in 2010 at the BCMAwards. Hayley picks great songs “A Little Bluer Than That” was originally written by Irene Kelley on a wonderful abum SIMPLE PATH and Alan Jackson cut it too. I vaguely knew Billie Jo Spears name and wa informed of her songs at Scoter Lee show. Sorry you have lost a valued country friend.
