First a Happy Eastertime to you all and welcome to a touch of holiday country music.
On this Easter weekend we launch an archived interview special with Tammy Wynette and I’ll be telling you how you can gain access to an interview I did with her twenty eight year ago on Easter Sunday.
You can win tickets to go and see Billie Jo Spears in concert and I’ll be informing who is is coming into Britain for special country shows.
Our Album Of The Week to my mind is a great contender for our Album Of The Year…it’s a touch of musical magic from Laura Cantrell.
I’ll be taking a look at the Easter weekend Billboard Charts and playing the top three best selling singles this weekend.
Our ‘Coulda Been Country’ track is picked by Sally Petersen from Portsmouth and our ‘Remember This’ song brings memories back to Jane Woodhouse and Barry Webb.
There’s also music from Ashton Shepard, EmmyLou Harris, Charlie Rich, Dwight Yoakum,Marty Robbins, Tammy Wynette, George Jones and a host of others.
Why don’t you join me for a touch of country to make your Easter weekend even better.
Cheers for now

Hi Brian, Bit unsure about the new Emmylou track. In contrast enjoyed the Laura Cantrell track ‘Kitty Wells Dresses’.
Good to hear Ashton Shepherd ‘Look It Up’. I hope the rest of the tracks on her forthcoming album will be just as good.
Did you hear about the ACM Girls Night Out Superstar Women of Country Event? ( Broadcast CBS 22April 2011 )
The Vince Gill & Carrie Underwood performance reminds me that I DO like country music. ‘Jesus Take The Wheel’ performed by Vince Gill and then Carrie and Vince performing a very moving emotional cover of How Great Thou Art was astonishing ! Sooooooo GOOD !
