It is a busy, busy show this week crammed full of great music.
There’s the usual look at the ever changing Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, and a reminder as to how you can win a copy of the last album the legendary Johnny Cash recorded.
Our Album of the Week takes on a bluegrassy type feel and it’s a bit of a belter coming from Dierks Bentley.
In our ‘On This Day’ feature I’ll be mentioning Bonnie Prince Charlie, Lady Godiva and Cher and an amazing fact about something that was on the cover of the Beatles Srgt Pepper album.
There’s an update on artists visiting Britain and a reminder of the Great North Country and Western Festival which takes place at the end of the month.
Musically there’s songs from Terri Clark, Suzy Bogguss (from her album not available in the States yet), Josh Thompson, Lady Antebellum, Willie Nelson, Eve Sellis, Waylon Jennings, Tom T Hall, Exile, Nanci Griffith and that’s only a few to mention.
Join me while you have a cuppa, for some of the best music around.
Cheers
Brian C

Good to hear Suzy Bogguss again. That new band ‘One Night Stand’ sounded fine, not sure about the name ? Can you imagine what it would be like like promoting live shows, might send out the wrong kind of message! I’ll pass on Dierks Bentley, he’s currenting getting heavy UK promotion not keen on the Billboard plays either.
Ah,Gene Watson sings Hank Williams. A match made in heaven!! More, please.
